I'm a research scientist and imaging specialist illuminating the dynamic interactions between hosts and microbes. Driven to answer big questions about small things and passionate about communicating science in ways that inspire inquiry, inclusivity, and excitement.

I got my PhD at the University of Connecticut, where I studied host-microbe interactions in the Hawaiian bobtail squid. Now, I'm a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, visualizing the aphid-Buchnera symbiosis.
